I have a solo exhibition up this month at the Artists Foundation Video Room in South Boston titled Jain, Trains and Automobiles. I've pulled together three "recent" works (ie. from the last five years) including the World Premiere of the Downeaster Duo video from my Transportation Pioneering series.

The opening reception is this Saturday, April 26th from 3 to 5pm.

I visited myself in the latest DriveTime episode to promote the show.



May 1 Update: I will be gallery sitting on Saturday, May 3rd from 12-5. Come on by!

Remixing Radiohead

I just read about how Radiohead is releasing mixable versions of some of their songs, including a Garageband file that lets you tinker around. Sounds like this could make it into a future lesson plan of mine!

I haven't been buying from iTunes (I usually get CDs and rip them), but I recently did purchase the New Pornographers show at the Apple store, Live at Soho. It's fabbo!

I don't know if I'll try to transfer this blog over there or just let these two duel it out. Blogger has been a little too quirky and maybe on wordpress I'll be more active?

We had a nice three night stay in Nantucket last week, pre-heat wave. We walked a lot and enjoyed what sun was offered.

Bostonist Supports DriveTime

The Bostonist gives a nice shout out to New England locals nominated in the 11th Webby Awards and endorses DriveTime as the Music/Variety Online Video selection:

The 11th annual awards have summed this year's competition as The Year of Online Video. To that end a whole bunch of online video categories have been created in which nominees will compete. In the Online Film & Video cluster the Music/Variety category holds local vlogger Ravi Jain's DriveTime. The category holds quite a bit of variety. We think DriveTime should get the nod just because Ravi's car got ousted from the gallery at Green Street Station - isn't that enough?
